Dear Friends,
Chevron is ramping-up a malicious misinformation campaign directed at
Goldman Environmental Prize winners from Ecuador Pablo Fajardo and Luis
Yanza for their efforts to make the company clean up what experts
believe is the world's worst oil-related disaster. The award for
lawyer Pablo Fajardo Mendoza and community leader Luis Yanza comes just
days after a court-appointed expert submitted an official damages
assessment to the Ecuadorian judge recommending that Chevron be ordered
to pay compensation of between $7 billion and $16 billion.
Amazon Watch, in support of Pablo, Luis and the 30,000 plaintiffs is
striking back by launching a new flash animation by syndicated
political cartoonist Mark Fiore.

Also read the letter Pablo and Luis sent to Chevron yesterday in
response to the company's full page attack ads against them:

Ecuador Trial
Please watch our animation, please spread the word. Please consider adding a link to it from your site.
