'Sea Child' - Cathy Funk
'Not so long ago I was asked to join a portrait class and was so excited that even we beginners could attend and learn something new…My biggest decision was which granddaughter I would choose to paint…Well the youngest because of all the kids she is the one who will not get to enjoy life at the beach with Meme and Popie… Her parents have decided that this is not a safe environment for her to be in…One of our dreams of going into retirement was to have a “place” at the shore where all the kids, all ages could always come to spend quality family time…Right now I don’t see that happening anytime soon and have decided to make a statement to that with my “Sea Child” portrait.'
